Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd is a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation headquartered in Mumbai. It was established in 1945 as (M&M) and later (1948) renamed “Mahindra & Mahindra”. Part of the Mahindra Group, M&M is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers by production in India.
Mahindra’s history has had countless milestones and achievements. Apart from the automotive sector, Mahindra Tractors is the largest manufacturers of tractors in the world by volume.
Mahindra (M&M) entered the Australian market in 2007 with the launch of the Mahindra PikUp Ute, and plans launch of an All-New Global PikUp (Scorpio Lifestyler Ute) in 2027. The XUV nameplate has been in Australia since the launch of the XUV500 in 2016, the XUV700 in 2023, the XUV3XO in 2025 and the XUV7XO slated for 2027 launch. The Mahindra Scorpio Large 4x4 SUV has been in Australia since 2023 and rounds out the portfolio of feature packed, family focused, ADAS equiped SUV range for Australia.
Mahindra Automotive Australia Pty Ltd (MAAPL), its wholly-owned subsidiary of M&M and is based in Brisbane, Australia. The brand has established itself by proving itself through rigorous testing under the toughest of Australian conditions. The Mahindra brand has earned the confidence and advocacy of the Australian Market.
