Brisbane: January 15, 2026: Mahindra Automotive Australia is celebrating a standout year in 2025, achieving strong retail growth, expanding its SUV line-up and reinforcing its position as one of Australia’s fastest-growing mainstream automotive brands.
In calendar year 2025, Mahindra retailed 4,653 vehicles, an 11.6 per cent growth year-on-year, up from 4,170 vehicles in 2024. This performance places Mahindra firmly inside the Top 20 automotive brands in Australia excluding prestige marques, and 29th overall when all brands are included - a significant achievement in one of the world’s most competitive automotive markets.
This growth has been delivered despite the XUV 3XO contributing only six months of sales, following its Australian launch in July 2025, highlighting strong momentum across Mahindra’s established and new model lines. The growth since the 3XO launch has been an amazing 42 per cent.
XUV 700: A Proven Success Story
Mahindra’s flagship SUV, the XUV 700, continues to be a cornerstone of the brand’s success. Since its launch in June 2023, the XUV 700 has now surpassed 7,000 retail sales in Australia.
Mahindra is offering attractive run-out deals on the current XUV 700, giving Australian customers exceptional value on one of the brand’s most popular and highly awarded vehicles.
MY26 Scorpio Raises the Bar
Mahindra’s commitment to technology and safety is further reinforced with the release of the MY26 Scorpio Z8L, which now features Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) across the range.
Priced at just $2,000 more than the original launch price of the MY25 7-seat Scorpio Z8L, the fully loaded MY26 model delivers outstanding value. New features include Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Front Radar, Front Vehicle Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Smart Pilot Assist.
Comfort and convenience have also been elevated, with additions such as ventilated (actively cooled) front seats, an electric park brake with hill hold, high beam assist and an auto-dimming rear vision mirror, ensuring the Scorpio remains one of the most compelling large SUV offerings in its segment.
XUV 3XO: A Strong New Arrival
The arrival of the XUV 3XO in July 2025 marked an important expansion of Mahindra’s SUV portfolio, bringing the brand’s design, technology and value proposition to a new generation of urban and first-time SUV buyers.
Despite only being on sale for six months, the XUV 3XO has already made a strong impact, delivering impressive early sales performance and broadening Mahindra’s reach in the highly competitive compact SUV segment.
The XUV 3XO AX7L’s strong market debut has been further validated by industry recognition, securing a Top 8 finalist position in Wheels Magazine’s prestigious 2025–26 Car of the Year awards.
With its modern styling, advanced safety features and exceptional value, the XUV 3XO range is expected to play a key role in Mahindra’s continued growth through 2026 and beyond.
A Brand Built for the Future
Mahindra’s success is underpinned by its proud heritage as a globally engineered, Indian-designed automotive manufacturer with more than 80 years of history, and over 20 years of continuous operation in Australia.
With a full SUV line-up now featuring ADAS technology, competitive pricing and a clear long-term product roadmap, Mahindra Australia enters 2026 with strong momentum, growing brand recognition and a clear commitment to delivering safe, capable and value-driven vehicles for Australian customers.
